Sleep

Getting a good night’s sleep is one of the most important ways our bodies recharge. It helps us think clearly, stay in a good mood, and keeps our physical health on track. Sleep also strengthens our immune system and helps us stay steady on our feet.

For people with Parkinson’s, sleep can be a challenge. The same brain changes that cause movement issues can also mess with sleep patterns, leading to frequent wakeups and less "deep sleep." When you don't get the rest you need, it can make Parkinson’s symptoms - like tremors or fuzzy thinking - feel worse during the day.

Keeping a regular bedtime routine is a simple but powerful way to help your brain and body function at their best.
